A fan-first digital experience built for speed, access, and engagement.
The Cleveland Monsters were operating on a dated digital setup that split their website and mobile app across separate systems—creating unnecessary complexity for both their team and their fans. Managing content across multiple systems slowed internal operations, while the overall experience lacked the cohesion and flexibility expected of a modern sports organization.
They were drawn to a more unified approach—one that combined a strong visual design system with a single CMS powering both web and mobile. Beyond the technology, ongoing support and responsive partnership were key factors in the decision, giving their team confidence that they’d have the right foundation in place not just for launch, but for the long term.
The result has been a highly successful first year. Delivered on time and on budget, the new platform has streamlined internal workflows, simplified content management, and made day-to-day operations significantly easier for their staff. At the same time, it’s created a more cohesive, modern experience for fans—equipping the Monsters with a digital presence built to perform and evolve.

A Single Content Management System Built for Speed and Scale
Managing content across two separate systems created unnecessary strain for the Cleveland Monsters’ team. With limited manpower, updating the website and mobile app independently meant double the effort for every change. And, inevitably, one experience (often the app) would fall behind. It wasn’t sustainable, especially in a fast-moving, in-season environment where content needs to be timely and consistent.
We consolidated everything into a single CMS designed to power both the web and mobile from a single place. Now, content is created once and distributed everywhere it needs to go. Images are uploaded once, data flows automatically across platforms, and key updates, such as roster changes, schedules, and push notifications, are streamlined through built-in automation.
We also integrated custom tools, such as a direct Flickr connection, allowing the team to quickly pull in and publish imagery without redundant uploads or extra steps. The result is a more efficient, reliable workflow that saves time, reduces errors, and gives the Monsters’ staff full control over their content—without the overhead they previously faced.
A Mobile App Built for Game Day and Every Day
The Cleveland Monsters’ mobile app had fallen behind. With a dated interface, limited support, and no real connection to the website, it became an afterthought. Fans might download it, but they didn’t rely on it. Without integration into key systems like ticketing, and with content often out of sync, the app struggled to deliver a consistent and valuable experience.
We rebuilt the app with a focus on real-time engagement and simplicity. A modern UI brings the experience in line with the team’s brand, while deeper integration with the CMS ensures content stays consistent across platforms without added effort. Automated and scheduled push notifications, including emojis and game updates, give the team a powerful way to reach fans at the right moments.
On the backend, the experience is just as streamlined. With a single CMS powering everything, the app becomes a natural extension of the broader platform. Live game data, along with direct access to audio and video, keeps fans connected wherever they are. The result is a mobile experience that feels current, connected, and essential to the overall fan experience.
